All CORE coaches are USA Volleyball IMPACT certified, registered with USAV/GEVA Region, and have completed a USAV background screening. They bring years of experience as both players and coaches. CORE coaches are expected to develop each player and team in a positive environment.
CORE believes strongly in continuing education for all of our coaches. In addition to our coaches participating in the USAV SafeSport program, a majority of our coaches attended and recently completed the Gold Medal Squared Coaches Clinic held here at CORE, earning their GMS certificate.

My name is Marina Costa. I’m 30 years old. Born in France
06/08/1993, raised in Portugal.
I’m a former professional volleyball player.
Initiated my athletic career at 11 years old (2004) all the way
through 23 years old. Started in mini volleyball at my school,
progressing into club competitions, winning regional and
national titles and playing for a professional team at 16 years
old.
Apart from my indoor career I would compete in beach and
grass volleyball to keep and develop my physical condition
for more indoor success. That resulted into the utmost honor
of being called to represent Women’s Volleyball National
team of Portugal in 2012 at 19 years old.
With years of experience, and a love for the sport, that never
ceases, I have decided to go back to the courts, now as a
coach.
